Satali Breath

Satali Breath is a cooling breath to use on a summer day or if someone is running a fever to cool the body down.

Sit in easy pose, stick out your tongue and curl both edges. Inhale through the curled tongue, draw the tongue back in and close the lips. Exhale through the nose. Do this breath for 3-5 minutes. To finish the breath, inhale and exhale deeply through both nostrils.

Remember it is a great breath too cool your emotions and release them and good for all Pitta types because when your child’s Pitta goes up so do the emotions – anger, impatience etc. Just being out in the sun too long can cause this.

So remember in the summer to keep Pitta happy – Have your child do this breath, take Triphala, Aloe Vera Gel and not stay in the sun/heat too long.
