Did you know that your baby is your best yoga teacher whether they are crying or sleeping deeply?
They inspire us to be calm, balanced and centered. Yoga helps give ease, fun, relaxation and comfort to parent-baby interactions. It is even more fun when you do yoga with other Moms and their babies. Baby massage and yoga help us nurture our babies and in turn we feel nurtured and healed at some level.
As a teacher I never fail to see the total presence of the babies, ranging from 6 weeks to 10 months of age. They are alert and enjoy the special time with Mom, observing the yoga teacher and interacting with other babies in the class. Club Yoga brings Hatha and Kundalini yoga to the class which includes warm-ups, poses, baby massage, mantras, partner yoga and meditation.
Mothers remark that they feel more grounded, relaxed, peaceful and happy after a class. They are pleasantly surprised to see their child in a very relaxed and happy space. They learn quickly how to reach this state by just doing the natural breath for 3 minutes. They take yoga tools home with them – to start doing yoga with their baby on a regular basis.
We make it practical and simple to do yoga with your baby. There is space for Mom’s to either feed baby during the class or in a quiet area near by. This doesn’t interrupt the flow of the class.
I am offering 4 early drop-in classes with the coming of Spring.
