Humee Hum Brahm Hum, relaxes a child’s entire being and puts a smile on their face. And yes, it helps parents too! This is an easy meditation to do for between three to seven minutes depending on the age of your children. The younger children do better with three minutes doing this mantra.
Sit with your child in easy pose with your spine straight, palms together in front of the navel (belly area).
Chant “Humee Hum”, bring the arms above the head.
Chant “Brahm Hum” bringing the arms down in front of the navel.
Chant “Humee Hum”, separating the hands and arms and at the same time bringing the left forearm in front of the belly and the right arm stretched out to the side, parallel to the floor. The left palm faces inwards and the right palm faces outwards.
Chant “Brahm Hum”, and at the same time bring the right forearm in front of the belly and left arm stretched out to the side, parallel to the floor.
To complete: Breathe in and bring the hands together at the heart center. Breathe out and relax and repeat two more times.
